This result is due to the natural affinity of beeswax and nanoclay for HPMC. The color-changing effect was more pronounced with beeswax than nanoclay. This suggests that the presence of beeswax and nanoclay in hpmc can be exploited to add value-added ingredients such as vitamins, minerals, and phenolic compounds into fruit juice and other beverages. The resulting products would have improved nutritional value and could provide an opportunity to reduce the cost of food processing.
